The New Zealand Memorial and the Conkbayiri Atatürk Memorial. The former is in the form of a 20.5 m high Greek cross. On it are inscribed the words: 'IN HONOUR OF THE SOLDIERS OF THE NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE 8TH AUGUST 1915 "FROM THE UTTERMOST ENDS OF THE EARTH"'. It is the site of the official New Zealand Anzac Day ceremony each 25 April.
